Volunteer

Sometimes the Lord will call people to volunteer some of their time to serve Him in a special way. Please let us know if you want to explore volunteer work with StoryRuners in your home, across the street or around the world.

Some Ways You Can Volunteer

Bible Teacher

Studies show that at least 40 percent of the people living within five miles of most churches prefer to learn by listening to stories. You may want to start a Bible storying ministry in your church and community but aren’t sure where to begin.

One of the best ways to start is by hosting a two-day storying training and strategy workshop at your church. During this time, StoryRunners will send a representative to introduce simple Bible storytelling techniques and strategies for effective ministry to those oral-preference learners living all around your church. They are at open-mike nights in coffee shops, schools, prisons, Sunday-school classes, home groups, and family devotions. The power of this teaching method is consistently underestimated because of its simplicity. You really do have to experience it to appreciate it.

Champion

This is usually a church lay person willing to serve as the advocate for the church's two-year storying project and adopted unreached people group. The Champion is responsible for maintaining the church's involvement in the partnership. The Champion will involve and oversee other church members, who are each responsible for other work that needs to be done.

Investor

At StoryRunners, we believe the local church is the Lord's primary instrument in fulfilling the Great Commission. That's why we always attempt to structure funding to encourage church ownership of Bible storying ministries. You can give through your local church or StoryRunners, or both, to support many different storying projects and strategies. Please visit the Invest page for more information.

Prayer

The key to this ministry is prayer. It helps to strengthen and encourage the StoryRunners teams, and protect them during times of attack. Please visit the Pray page to see current requests and learn more about why we need to pray for our missionaries.
