Picture yourself taking part in a two-year adventure in pioneering evangelism. A Quest project is just that, a mission to compile a set of Bible stories designed to communicate the gospel orally to those who have never heard it. Almost all Quest projects result in the planting of house churches where none existed before.

Why Oral Bible Stories?

Over 70 percent of the world's unreached people are part of oral cultures, groups that use stories, songs and other forms of narrative to communicate their most significant messages. Because these people either cannot or choose not to read and write, we meet them where they are and communicate in a form they can embrace and pass on to others.

Where would I go?

Your journey to the unreached could take you to Siberia, the Sahara, the Himalayas or almost anywhere. We have placed teams in West and North Africa, Central America, Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Siberia.

What would I do?

• You will be a part of a two- or three-person team. You and your partner will live among an unreached people group and learn its culture, language and worldview. Your job is to make friends!

• You may be the first to bring the Word of God to this people group in their own language.

• You will use a cutting-edge missions strategy called Chronological Bible Storying to give the people an oral storytelling panorama of the Bible that can easily spread throughout the people group.

• You will help your national friends become storytellers to their own people in their own language.

• You will be part of a translation team, working with your storytellers and with translation experts, accurately translating 40 to 60 stories from the Bible into the heart language of the people.

• You will be a miniature recording studio putting the stories on CD, cassette and radio.

• You will be trained and mentored throughout your two-year Quest so that you can do it! See the Quest Timeline PDF.

• Your goal will be to help initiate the beginnings of a church planting movement.

• You will be a part of building “spiritual movements everywhere!”

A Quest is a two-year project.

What is OneStory?

OneStory is a partnership of five mission agencies uniting their efforts to strategically reach the remaining unreached people groups in our world. OneStory Quest teams receive a blend of training from all five partners: Campus Crusade for Christ, International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Youth With A Mission, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Trans World Radio.

Please pray...

For wisdom for the OneStory executive team as they decide the priority of projects and for the Lord to provide all the resources necessary for each project.
Ask the Lord to touch the heart of churches to partner with us and to adopt a people group.
Ask that the teams will fulfill God’s goals and purpose in getting His Word to their people group and for spiritual multiplication.
Ask that each team member will rely on the Holy Spirit to empower them as they learn the language, culture, worldview and how to live among their people.
Pray also for good health and great relationships with their people.
