Application Developer
Description
The application developer will program, deploy and maintain computer applications to meet the technical needs of field missionaries, administration and even the Christian public. The developer manages software projects from beginning to end and therefore has a high level of independence and ownership of projects. Applications may run on the Web, computers or mobile devices. The size and scope of projects will increase in proportion to the developer's skill and experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, test and maintain computer applications to support StoryRunners and the global orality and storying movement
- Assist management in identifying technology needs and brainstorming solutions to problems

All StoryRunners staff members
- Will demonstrate a calling to bring the message of Jesus to unreached people groups and those with no access to God's Word
- Will raise their own financial support unless otherwise noted (training provided) or they are volunteers
- Will practice the art of learning and telling Bible stories
Skills and Qualifications
- Some prior experience with application development
- Highly motivated, thorough, persistent, self-starter
- Familiarity with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Knowledge of the following technologies are a plus
- Visual Studio, C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework
- SQL Server or MySQL
- AJAX
- JavaScript
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- IIS
- RSS/ATOM feeds
- HTML and CSS
- Microsoft's Entity Framework
Education
A four year degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Math, Physics, or other hard science.
Travel
No regular travel required.
