Story Bible Trainer
Description
The Story Bible Trainer teaches nationals and expatriate missionaries how to minister and plant churches using the Story Bible. When at home, staff members in this role train by engaging in local storying ministries in their community. Trainers usually do not work directly with unreached people groups, but they train those who do.
Since they work directly with staff and volunteers in the field, Story Bible Trainers also set up new strategies and field-level partnerships inside and outside of Campus Crusade for Christ. They work to create storying movements wherever they go.
Responsibilities
- Train field workers how to use stories in a ministry context and to plant churches
- Continually craft and learn more Bible stories that can be taught to others
- Network with others to build storying movements, at home and abroad

All StoryRunners staff members
- Will demonstrate a calling to bring the message of Jesus to unreached people groups and those with no access to God's Word
- Will raise their own financial support unless otherwise noted (training provided) or they are volunteers
- Will practice the art of learning and telling Bible stories
Skills and Qualifications
The best way to gain the experience and skills necessary for this position is to join a Story Bible Team as a Field Missionary.
- International field experience
- Storying experience in a mission context
- Excellent cross-cultural skills to relate well nationals
- Teaching and training skills and experience
- Enjoy networking
- Able to multi-task projects
- Have some administrative capabilities to coordinate and set up projects
- Multilingual a plus
Education
A four year degree is required to join Campus Crusade for Christ as a supported staff member.
Travel
Overseas travel is often required, along with some domestic travel. New trainers must be based out of Orlando, Florida for a minimum of two years.
