Technical Specialist

Description

The Technical Specialist manages all hardware and software installations for StoryRunners, which involves helping people solve technical problems, deploying new systems, tracking assets and assisting application developers and Web designers.

Responsibilities

  • Help staff troubleshoot technical problems
  • Deploy new hardware and software
  • Manage the life cycle of all technical assets
  • Assist software developers and Web designers with testing new IT solutions
  • All StoryRunners staff members
    • Will demonstrate a calling to bring the message of Jesus to unreached people groups and those with no access to God's Word
    • Will raise their own financial support unless otherwise noted (training provided) or they are volunteers
    • Will practice the art of learning and telling Bible stories

Skills and Qualifications

  • Enjoy helping others and solving technical problems
  • High knowledge and skills with Windows based operating systems
  • High knowledge and skills with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Display fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22) even when problems get difficult
  • Communicate well with other information technology staff, both internal and external
  • Attention to detail

Education

A four year degree is required to join Campus Crusade for Christ as a supported staff member. There are no educational requirements for volunteers.

Travel

No regular travel is required, but there may be opportunities to serve mission teams on-location.
