Writer/Editor
Description
The Writer/Editor originates and prepares written material to tell the world what God is doing among the most unreached people groups in the world. There are opportunities to work on many forms of media, and photography skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Gather stories from around the world from various mission projects
- Prepare copy for different audiences and purposes, including
- News
- Brochures
- Ads
- Reports
- Web site copy and articles
- Film scripts
- Work with the Communications Coordinator on joint projects

All StoryRunners staff members
- Will demonstrate a calling to bring the message of Jesus to unreached people groups and those with no access to God's Word
- Will raise their own financial support unless otherwise noted (training provided) or they are volunteers
- Will practice the art of learning and telling Bible stories
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in communications, journalism or visual media.
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills, including proper use of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Interviewing
- Microsoft Office experience
- Marketing knowledge or experience a plus
- Photography knowledge or experience a plus
- Web site experience helpful
- Script writing experience helpful
Education
A four year degree is required to join Campus Crusade for Christ as a supported staff member. Communications, Journalism, English or a related field is preferred. There are no educational requirements for volunteers.
Travel
Some domestic and overseas travel may be required to gather stories and interview the persons involved.
